The original developer, Christopher P. White, filed for bankruptcy in 2009. CBRE Group was then appointed by the court to take control of the shopping center. Poag Shopping Centers purchased The Metropolis Lifestyle Center in February 2014, [1] renaming it The Shops at Perry Crossing[2][3] in October 2015 as part of a $11.1 million renovation and rebranding project to revitalize the shopping center.[4] Renovations to the property include a redesigned central plaza with flex areas to accommodate events and spaces for guests to gather. Additional parking, signage and improved lighting will enhance the shopping and dining experience. Construction will be completed by November 2015 with the grand re-opening scheduled for later that month.

Location
