Thibodaux High School (THS) is a public high school serving students in grades 9–12 in Thibodaux, Louisiana, USA about 75 miles southwest of New Orleans. It is one of three high schools in the Lafourche Parish Public Schools.[3]

History

The school was established in the late 19th century or early 20th century at the site that is currently Thibodaux Elementary School. Later it moved a block away to the current site of East Thibodaux Middle School. In 1967, the student body was moved to the current location at the corner of Talbot Ave. and Tiger Dr. In 2002, 9th grade students were added to the campus.

Performance

Thibodaux was among state's top 10% in student improvement in 2013,[4] and students' ACT scores averaged 18, below the state average of 20.[5]
