Thomas "Tom" J. Rielly is the Iowa State Senator from the 38th district. He has been a member of the Iowa Senate since 2005.

Rielly currently serves on several committees in the Iowa Senate - the Commerce committee; the Economic Growth committee; the Local Government committee; the Agriculture committee, where he is vice chair; and the Transportation committee, where he is chair. He was elected in 2004 with 14,679 votes (52%), defeating Republican opponent Neal Schuerer.[1]
