Billboard publishes annual lists of songs based on chart performance over the course of a year based on Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems and SoundScan information. This is a list of the magazine's Top Hot 100 songs of 2008.[1]
Barbadian singer
Rihanna had five songs on the chart. Her best-performing song was "
Take a Bow" at number 12.
R&B singer
Ne-Yo had three songs on the chart, two of which are his own, Miss Indipendant at fifty-seven and Closer at number twenty.
T-Pain lent his vocals to eight songs on the chart, including the best-performing song of the year, "
Low," a collaboration with
Flo Rida.
Taylor Swift was the most successful country artist with three songs on the chart.
Rapper
Lil Wayne was in eight songs on the chart. "
Lollipop" was his most successful song at number 4.
