Transnational Speedway League: Anthems, Anecdotes, and Undeniable Truths is the debut, full-length, album by the band Clutch, released on August 17, 1993, and their first album with label East West Records.
Recording and release
The album received a parental advisory because of the repeated use of the word "motherfucker" in the song "Binge and Purge". It also saw the first recording sessions without Lawrence "Uncle Punchy" Packer as the producer/engineer, who had worked on the previous first two EP's of the band.[2]
Background
This album illustrates the band's beginnings in the alternative, punk rock, heavy metal, hardcore, stoner rock and doom metal scenes. The bands of this era also had the grunge label on top of everything else, due to the mainstream media terminology at the time. This album covers some varied genres, but more so than anything highlights the bands roots. The majority of the songs on the album haven't mad the live set for some time, with notible exceptions of 'El Jefe Speaks', 'Binge and Purge' and 'Effigy'. It is not considered the most popular of the bands catalogue by numerous musical critics.[3]

The rare track "Molt" is from this era but is only found on "A Shogun Named Marcus" promotional CD given to radio stations. The CD also has early live tracks by the band: "Rats" from this album: "Juggernaut" from the first EP: and "A Shogun Named Marcus" which has Max and Andreas from Sepultura playing on the song.[4]
