Tropical Storm Sandra
The name Sandra has been used for three tropical cyclones worldwide, two in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and at least one in the Southern Hemisphere. The name Sandra is not to be confused with the name Sandy which was retired in the Atlantic.
In the Eastern Pacific:
- Hurricane Sandra (1985) – Powerful category 3 hurricane that stayed in the open ocean.
- Hurricane Sandra (2015) – A record-breaking category 4 which became the latest major hurricane to form in a single season, it also set the record for being the strongest in the month of November. Made landfall in the Baja California Peninsula as a remnant low.
In the Southwest Pacific:
- Cyclone Sandra (2013) – Severe tropical cyclone that caused minor effects on land.
