Tudhoe Grange is a village in County Durham, in England. It is situated close to Spennymoor, a few miles to the south of Durham. It includes Tudhoe Grange School, formally Tudhoe Grange Comprehensive School. After the 100 year anniversary of its opening, Tudhoe Grange School closed in September 2012. Present students joined and moved sites to Spennymoor School, where the newly refurbished site was named as Whitworth Park School and Sixth Form College in 2012.

Over 50,000 residents and local supports of Spennymoor Town campaigned to save the much loved school from being demolished by Durham County Council and Spennymoor Town Council. The land that the school was situated on was sold to a housing development company located in the South of England for proposed housing developments long before people became aware of the purposed demolition. There have has been much anger at the way the public was oppressed and left out of what should have been a democratic decision for the local residents to make.

Local residents argued that the school could have been regenerated into a much needed school for the town and local areas as the new Whitworth Park School is nearly at full capacity and with all the new housing developments already in the town there will be a shortage of school placements; over 20,000 houses have been built since 2013 and over 20,000 more have been purposed.

It was a coalmining town during World War 2 and since the decline of that specific industry Spennymoor has developed into an industrial estate. Additionally the town is full of small businesses and booming housing projects. Spennymoor itself is made up of small villages, which include Byers Green, Kirk Merrington, Middlestone Moor and Tudhoe.
