Turangzai is one of the eight villages of Hashtnagar area in Charsadda District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is located at a distance of 32 km from Peshawar and lies to east of it at 34°12'53N 71°44'46E bordering Umarzai, Utmanzai and Tarnab on either sides.

It has a population of about 30,000 people. Personalities like Haji Sahib Turangzai and Alama Shams ul Haq Afghani were born in the village in the 20th century. Village is home to a Higher Secondary School for boys and High School for girls. Beside there are schools for middle education for both boys and girls. The village doesn't have any written history about its origin but as like most of Charsadda, Muhammad Zai Pathans are the inhabitants of the village. It is said that three villages were made in the name of the sons (Utman, Turang and Umar) of a lord of early days named Utmanzai, Turangzai and Umarzai (Muhammadzai).

Haji Sahib Turangzai led a successful battle against the British from the area presently known as the Mohmand Tribal Area (Mohmand Agency).
