The Type 901 is a class of fast combat support ship of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy.[1]
Construction of the first ship was well-advanced in December 2015 and was expected to launch in 2016. A second ship may have been under construction at the same time.[1]
Design
It is estimated to have a 40,000-45,000 ton displacement and a beam of 31.5 metres,[1] making it significantly larger than the preceding 23,400 ton Type 903A.[2]
