Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko II
Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko II is an upcoming heavyweight fight for the unified WBA (Super), WBO, IBO, The Ring and lineal heavyweight titles to take place in 2016. The fight was initiated by Klitschko through exercising of a rematch clause in the contract for Wladimir Klitschko vs. Tyson Fury.[1][2][3]
The fight will not be for the IBF title as it was in their previous fight. This was due to Fury having to fight Klitschko as opposed to the IBF's mandatory challenger Vyacheslav Glazkov. Instead Glazkov fought Charles Martin for the vacant title.[4]
After months of negotiation, the rematch was finally announced on 8 April 2016, with the fight scheduled to take place in the new champion's home town of Manchester at Manchester Arena on 9 July. In the United Kingdom the fight will be shown live and exclusively on BoxNation.[5]
