UNTV Cup is a charity basketball league on Philippine TV. It is the first charity game dedicated for public servants and celebrities in the Philippines.[1] The game was started on July 29, 2013 coinciding the 9th Anniversary Celebration of UNTV.[2] As an amateur league, UNTV Cup is using the FIBA rules as its House Rules which is being used in world basketball and Olympics according to Mr. Raffy Britanico,[3] officiating head of Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), a basketball association in the Philippines.
Its first season was held at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines.[4] Fortunato Co serves as the commissioner of the basketball league. Following the success of its first season, UNTV Cup season two was opened on February 11, 2014 at the same venue with newly added public service booths of each participating teams/government agencies. An off-season game was opened on August 21, 2014 with the three branches of the Philippine government: Judiciary, Legislative an Executive teams. Also with Media Team (Team ni Kuya) will also play to complete the set of players. Its third season will be opened on November 17, this year.
UNTV Cup is an original concept by Daniel Razon[5] tagged as Mr. Public Service[6] and materialized by UNTV widely known as public service television station[7] in the Philippines. He is the chairman and CEO of BMPI-UNTV, the organization behind the UNTV Cup.

Season 1
UNTV Cup started its first season with a ceremonial toss on July 29, 2013 and it was expected to end in January 2014 but it ended early on November 5 of the same year. The project is aimed to promote unity, camaraderie and physical fitness among government officials in the country.

PO2 Ollan Omiping was the two-time MVP (Philippine National Police (PNP) team) during the first and second season of UNTV Cup, was tagged as The Sniper for his excellent performance every game.
Beneficiaries
Every team represents their choice of charity institution. The champion will win one million pesos and first runner-up team will win five hundred thousand pesos to be given to the charity chosen by the winning teams.[19] Total winning prize is ₱1,500,000 in Philippine peso[20] courtesy of Kuya Daniel Razon, the CEO and chairman of Breakthrough and Milestones Production International (BMPI).[21] But winners received a total cash prize of ₱1,900,000 in all.

Season 2
UNTV Cup season two started its ceremonial toss last February 11, 2014 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City with additional three (3) teams to come up with a total of ten teams.[23] Atoy Co and Ed Cordero serve as commissioner and deputy commissioner respectively during the course of UNTV Cup season two. The game ended successfully on July 8, 2014 on the same venue.
Its kick off celebration was held at One Esplanade in Pasay City last January 14, 2014. Opening game was held on February 11, 2014 at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines. Every game schedule, the teams will have its own Public Service Booth during the game to give and offer public services to attendees/viewers as well as to the public. Respective teams will have its representatives to cater these public services on the game venue.[24]

Fan's Choice Award
The management of UNTV Cup Season 2 have recently run a Fan's Choice Award for which avid viewers can vote their favorite player via online voting in its fan page website. The winner was determined based on the highest number of votes garnered by the player along with acceptable reason which the vote was cast. The award was given recognition in its season ending game on July 1, 2014 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, in Quezon City. Online voting was officially opened from June 19, 2014 and ended by 6:00 p.m. (UTC+8) of June 27, 2014. It was Alvin Zuniga who won the said award.

Off-Season: Clash of the Three
UNTV Cup Off Season, officially called as the UNTV Cup off-season games: Clash of Three (spelled TH3EE or th3ee where 3 represents letter R), was a basketball games among the three branches of the Philippine Government namely: the Judiciary, the Legislative, and Executives teams. Non-earning point Media Team (Team ni Kuya) also play the off-season game to complete the set of players. The off-season game was started on August 21, 2014 at Ynares Sports Arena, Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines and ended its final games on October 14, 2014.

Season 3
UNTV Cup Season 3 will be opened on October, 2014 as previously announced but the said event was opened on November 17, 2014 at SM Mall of Asia Arena.[34] It was ended on April 28, 2015 in its final games at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Aside from existing teams, newcomers are Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP Firefighters), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS Furies) and National Housing Authority (NHA Builders) to complete the eleven teams of the UNTV Cup Season 3.

Season 4
A total of 12 teams, including new team Ombudsman Graft Busters were competed in the UNTV Cup Season 4. AFP Cavaliers and PNP Responders were competed in a best-of-three finals series, of which the AFP clinched the championship title of Season 4.
