Carson Challenger
This article is about ATP Challenger Tour and ITF Women's Circuit tournament.
For the ATP World Open tournament formerly known as "LA Tennis Open", see
Los Angeles Open (tennis).
The Carson Challenger (also known as the USTA Player Development Classic and the USTA LA Tennis Open) was a tournament for professional female and male tennis players played on outdoor hard courts. The event was classified as a $50,000 ITF Women's Circuit tournament and was held in Carson, California, United States, from 2007–2011. In 2014 the tournament was a replacement for the Yakima Regional Hospital Challenger, as their clubhouse was destroyed by a fire earlier in the year.[1] The event was also previously part of the ATP Challenger Tour series from 2005 to 2010, with the exception of 2006.
