The 1976 United States presidential election in Michigan was held on November 2, 1976. Incumbent President Gerald Ford won his home state of Michigan with 51.83% of the vote, carrying Michigan's 21 electoral votes. However, he lost the general election to Democratic candidate Jimmy Carter.
