Arak University is a state university in Arak city in Markazi Province of Iran.

The university was established in 1971 as The College of Marjan (مدرسه ی عالی مرجان) with the assistance of the University of Tehran and Tehran Tarbiat Moallem University.

In 1989 the college attained university status. The university currently offers degrees in three colleges in 28 fields for both undergraduate and graduate students.

Nowadays it has many different majors and 4 faculties as humanities, science, engineering and agriculture. science faculty has four basic majors:physics , chemestry,mathematics,biology. Engineering faculty has these majors: Chemical engineering, Civil engineering, Electrical engineering, Materials engineering, Computer engineering, Industrial engineering, Mechanical engineering.

right now the president of this faculty is D.r azizallah azad ,is a faculty member of mathematics department.

right now the president of this faculty is D.r Abolfazl Barati,it consist of chemical engendering,software engineering,civil engineering,electrical engineering,mechanical engineering,industrial engineering and materials & metallurgical engineering.


many people have been graduated since this unversity has been stablished. nowadays professor akbar zendehbam(optic professor),bejan farokhi(theorecal physiciist),saeed amaani (chemist) are member of science faculty.
