Upeneus mascareinsis is a species of fish belonging to the Perciformes order of the family Mullidae.
Distribution
This species is endemic to the Indian Ocean. It is found between 100 and 400 m deep. Discovered in Réunion, it has been observed in Madagascar, Mozambique and Indonesia.
Description
It can measure up to 180 mm.
