A legislative assembly election will be held in 2017 for the 403 seats of the Vidhan Sabha in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. The dates of the election are yet to be announced, as of November 2016. In the previous election in 2012, the Samajwadi Party won a majority and formed government in the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav.

Schedule

Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election Schedule 2017 would be Announced by November 2016 and Elections should take place by January 2016. Previous assembly polls, all 403 ACs went to polls in 7 Phases.
