Uttara University (Bengali: উত্তরা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) or UU is a private university at Uttara, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. UU has eight campuses in a one-kilometer radius in Uttara, and another campus in Mirpur-1.

Campus locations are:
- Main: House #04&05, Road #15, Sector #06, Uttara Model Town, Uttara, Dhaka-1230.
- Mirpur campus: Robiul Tower, Mirpur Housing State, Plot No #C-1/Kh, Section #1, Mirpur-1, Dhaka.
History
Dr. M. Azizur Rahman, founder of Uttara University, was a former economic advisor of the US Embassy (Dhaka), an academician and economist, and alumnus of Vanderbilt University.
Uttara University began its journey through the DAR TRUST. The members of DAR TRUST are educationists, industrialists, economists and businessmen. Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha is pro-Vice Chancellor and co-founder of the university, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Dr M. Azizur Rahman is the Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of the Syndicate of Uttara University, while Nabid Aziz and Abid Aziz are members of the Trustee Board.
Uttara University is approved by the government of Bangladesh and by University Grants Commission. The university was established under the private University Act of 1992 and the amendment to this act in 1998. UU is recognized by the University Grants Commission. The university has been in operation since 2003.
Convocation
The first convocation of Uttara University was held on 16 June 2009. The chancellor of Uttara University and the president of Bangladesh Md. Zillur Rahman presided over the convocation program, when 1088 graduate and undergraduate students received their certificates. Professor A. A. M. S. Arefin Siddique, vice chancellor of Dhaka University was scheduled as the convocation speaker.
The Second convocation of Uttara University was held on 4 July 2011.
