Vallecitos is an unincorporated community located in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, United States. The community is located along state route 576 at the corner of SR 576 and New Mexico State Road 111 22.7 miles (36.5 km) north-northeast of Abiquiú, or 14 miles north-northwest of Ojo Caliente. Vallecitos has a post office with ZIP code 87581.[1][3] Aside from the post office,[4] there is a community center and library which is open limited hours and has a free campground in back. There is no parking in the campground area but campers may walk down to the area which is along the Vallecitos river. All camping is primitive but there is some water available at the nearby community center.
