ValueLabs is an Indian-based global IT services and consulting company that provides custom information technology and business consulting services. Its corporate office is located in Hyderabad, India. ValueLabs has been named as "50 Best Places to Work For" India 2009 in a survey conducted by Great Places to work for Institute and the Economic Times.[1]

History

ValueLabs was started as a small company of three employees based out on an apartment in Hyderabad. Commenced its operations by providing software development and testing services for a product company in the US. By 2000, within a span of two years, the company had grown to a size of 90 employees catering seven clients.The Company's major clientale are Dubai Telecom and Malaysian Telecom Services. In the next three years, the company had moved to a larger facility and had 300 employees.

Arjun Rao, CEO and founder of ValueLabs was invited to be a part of the managing committee of the Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA).[2] The company was started during the period when Hyderabad started to bloom with the IT industry.

Infrastructure

ValueLabs’ headquarters are located in HITEC City, Hyderabad, India and has recently inaugurated a new facility in the same Special Economic Zone (SEZ)[3]In expansion mode, ValueLabs eyes cloud, analytics segment. At present, there are 9 development centers globally and multiple sales offices in North America, Europe, Middle East, India and Asia-Pacific regions.

Besides its global offices, ValueLabs has a two-acre facility in the HITEC City, Hyderabad, India. This facility is known for its architectural influence. Designed and architecture by CnT Architects,[4] Bangalore, the facility occupies 150,000 sq.ft. with capacity to accommodate up to 2000+ employees. This campus later won the Architecture+Design & Spectrum Foundation Awards 2007 for Institutional Buildings.[5] 1/3 of the space in their offices in Hyderabad are kept free for employee interactions and activities.

ValueLabs has another facility in Hyderabad, which is agile-ready facilities in terms of seating, noise cancelling features and video communication infrastructure. The facility is spread over 145,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 1,600 people.[6]

ValueLabs is also the first IT company in India to have commissioned its own captive solar power plant to be energy self-reliant besides promoting clean energy and reducing its carbon footprint.[7]

Corporate social responsibility

The ValueLabs Foundation (VLF) focuses on issues of health care, education, environmental awareness, Future of India (child welfare) and traffic awareness. The foundation has collaborations with other foundations to achieve its goals.
