Vani Rani (Tamil: வாணி ராணி) is a 1974 Indian Tamil film, directed by Tapi Chanakya and later finished by C. V. Rajendran and produced by B. Nagi Reddy and Chakrapani. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Vanisri, R. Muthuraman and K. A. Thangavelu in lead roles. The film had musical score by K. V. Mahadevan.[1][2] The film was an remake of the Hindi film Seeta Aur Geeta.[3]

Production
The film was initially directed by Tap Chanakya, unfortunately he died midway during the shoot, he was then replaced by C. V. Rajendran.[4][5]
