FC Veres Rivne is a Ukrainian football club based in Rivne. The team ran into financial difficulties after the winter break of the 2010–11 season and was removed from the PFL (1st league).[1] From 1992–1995, Veres Rivne took part in the Ukrainian Premier League, and achieved their best result of 12th place in 1993–94. In that season they also reached the semifinals of Ukrainian Cup. Their home stadium is "Avanhard".

The uniform includes blue shirts and shorts.

Team names

Team was founded in 1957 as Kolhospnyk (collective farm worker). In 1966 it changed its name to Horyn after the river that flows in Volhynia. In 1972 the club became part of all Ukrainian Avanhard voluntary sports society and changed its name to Avanhard. During the fall of the Soviet Union it changed its name again to Veres (heather). In 2011 the club was dissolved due to bankruptcy. In 2015 it was reinstated with the help of chairman of the regional football federation.
