Vipin Patwa is a music director and composer who composes music for Bollywood. He is one of the emerging music directors of Hindi films for the present generation.

Early life

Vipin Patwa, born in Uttar Pradesh to a business family was brought up in Delhi. He started working on his passion for music at the age of 14 when he would spend endless evenings practicing the ragas of music while his friends played cricket outside. He learnt music from Pandit Harish Tiwari of the Kirana gharana . He finished his graduation and post-graduation in Indian classical music and also secured an M Phil. degree in music from Delhi University. His M’Phil was on Ghazals and their origins and growth, and to their present existence in today’s society. Along with this, he has also finished his six-year course “Sangeet Prabhakar” which is a prestigious music qualification.[1]

Career

While pursuing his graduation, in 2002, he joined All India Radio (AIR) as a music composer and began composing jingles and songs for the radio station. After that, he composed many theme songs and promotional songs for the Congress party. In January 2009, he made his big move to the city of dreams, Mumbai, holding in his hand one dream, to make music for Bollywood movies. Vipin got his first break with Joe Rajan’s Luv U Soniyo. He recorded with the top Bollywood singers like Sonu Nigam, Mika, KK, Shaan, Shreya Goshal, Sunidhi Chauhan and many more. Vipin Patwa has also given his voice in the movie Ye Stupid Pyar (2012) besides his Music direction to the same movie.[2] Sonu Nigam, one of Bollywood's most talented and recognized singer has praised Vipin as a composer as well as a singer.Sonu Nigam also called him "Vilakshan".[3] Many noted celebs have complimented Vipin's compositions and called him an immense bundle of talent.[4]

Current projects

Vipin’s current/future projects include Wah Taj! and Bhajan Zindabad, where he has made actor Om Puri sing. He also has a line-up of big banner movies for which he is currently designing his awesome music.[5] He has also directed the music for Bollywood Diaries, an upcoming Indian drama film.
