Visa pour l'Image[1] international photojournalism festival established in 1989, which takes place every year in the entire city of Perpignan, from late August to mid-September for a period of 15 days. This is the main and most important festival of photojournalism in France.

This festival not only offers exhibitions spread across the city, but also conferences, international meetings and discounts prestigious global photographers rewarding the best stories. The most famous photographers around the world will visit the festival. Photographers such as Herb Ritts and Claude Gassian have participated in the festival.

History

The association of Paris Match, Photo and other partners (such as Hachette (publisher) Filipacchi group) gradually decided the Ministry of Culture and Communication, local partners, but also the historic Canon Inc. partner to support this event. Photographic laboratories are also partners of the event: Central Color, Dupon and e- Center.
