Vstavay, Donbass!

Vstavay, Donbass! is the anthem of the self-declared People's Republic of Donetsk, one of the two constituent republics of the Union of People's Republics, a rebel state in eastern Ukraine. It was written by a pro-Russian band, Den' Triffinov, and subsequently adopted by the People's Rada of the Donetsk People's Republic in 2014.[1] It is not recognized as an anthem by the Ukrainian central government. Unlike the anthem of the federal Union of People's Republics, it lacks a Ukrainian version. The government of the Donetsk People's republic has not offered any insight into the reason.

The first anthem was replaced by a new tune that debuted in 2015 and is the one currently in use in the DPR.

Oh Great Donbass, the honor and pride of the people,

Rich in minerals, in forests and fields,

Our frontier's labor, our lives and freedom,

Forever a land that is protected by God!

(Chorus)

Glory to the Republic, glory to our people,

Glory to the beloved miners' Donbass!

Glory to the country, the spirit of freedom,

The friendship of peoples, unites us all!

Our strong will, the enemies won't dare break

But our strong hearts and spirits shall remain,

To the brotherhood and unity of the Slavic peoples,

We shall be always selflessly true!

(Chorus)

Glory to the Republic, glory to our people,

Glory to the beloved miners' Donbass!

Glory to the country, the spirit of freedom,

The friendship of peoples, unites us all!

Russian Donetsk has been dignified for ages,

Flying high the banner of its victorious stand,

The holy people of our great Country dreams

towards the hope and faith of a blooming world.

(Chorus)

Glory to the Republic, glory to our people,

Glory to the beloved miners' Donbass!

Glory to the country, the spirit of freedom,

The friendship of peoples, unites us all!

The friendship of peoples, unites us all!
