Wang Likun (Chinese: 王丽坤; pinyin: Wáng Lìkūn)(born March 22, 1985) is a Chinese actress, dancer and singer. She is best known for her role in television series Seven Swordsmen(2006), Beauty's Rival in Palace(2010), Beijing Youth(2012), Miss Assassin(2013), Think Before You Marry(2015), Twice Blooms the Flowers(2015), as well as her popular movies Ex-Files(2014), Somewhere Only We Know(2015).
Early life
Wang Likun was born on March 22, 1985, in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, China. Wang Likun is a Manchu, a Chinese ethnic minority. Wang Likun graduated from Beijing Dance Academy in 2004. She is a traditional dancer.[1]
Career
Wang Likun was discovered by famous Chinese director Tsui Hark, and shot her first TV series Seven Swordsmen in 2004. Wang Likun's first movie is 八十一格, released in 2008.
Ex-Files, one of her popular movies, was released in 2014. It starred actors Han Geng, Yao Xingtong & Zheng Kai.
Wang Likun played the lead role alongside Wu Yifan, in Somewhere Only We Know directed by Xu Jinglei. The movie was filmed in Prague, Czech Republic. The film was released on February 10,2015. On March 22, 2015, Wang Likun won award for Rising Star of Asia at 9th Asian Film Awards Special Awards Ceremony. On May 9, 2015, Wang Likun won award for Most Popular Actress at 22nd Beijing College Student Film Festival. On May 18, 2015, Wang Likun won award for Most Accomplished Actress at 3rd China International Film Festival London.
Wang Likun played the lead role alongside Kim Bum and Joe Cheng, in The Beloved. It was released on May 15, 2015.
