Wdesk’s proprietary word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications are integrated and built upon a data management engine, offering synchronized data, controlled collaboration, granular permissions and a full audit trail. Workiva employs more than 950 people with offices in 16 cities. The company is headquartered in Ames, Iowa.
Company history
The company was founded in 2008 specializing in software as a service. Six members of the founding management team previously worked together to form Engineering Animation, Inc.[1]
In 2010, the Workiva cloud-based SEC reporting solution was created and marketed to companies to change the way corporations collected and reported business data.

The Wdesk product platform combines documents, spreadsheets, and presentations into one place that links data together. Wdesk keeps reporting information up to date and secure.[2]
