Wewanta was an unincorporated community located in Lincoln County, West Virginia.
History
The town's name derived from a petition for a post office,[2] specifically "We want a post office".[3] The post office at Wewanta opened in 1903, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1947.[4]
