Większyce [vjɛnkˈʂɨt͡sɛ] (German: Wiegschütz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Reńska Wieś, within Kędzierzyn-Koźle County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) north-west of Reńska Wieś, 8 km (5 mi) west of Kędzierzyn-Koźle, and 39 km (24 mi) south of the regional capital Opole (German: "Oppeln"). Większyce / Wiegschütz is bilingual: German and Polish. It is officially called in both languages.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
