Wise River, Montana
Wise River is an unincorporated community in northern Beaverhead County, Montana, United States, in the southwestern part of the state.
Community information
Located near the Beaverhead National Forest 40 miles southwest of Butte at the spot where the Wise River flows into the Big Hole River, the community comprises a country school, church, post office, two bar/cafes, salon/espresso gift shop and a general store. The community is a popular tourist area in summer with fly fishing and camping being the most popular activities. In winter, snowmobiling is a popular activity in the area.
