Wolf is an unincorporated community in Nevada County, California.^[1] Wolf is located 11.5 miles (18.5 km) south-southwest of Grass Valley.^[2] It lies at an elevation of 1578 feet (481 m).^[1]

The Wolf post office operated from 1888 to 1956, moving once in 1940.^[2]
