Wycliffe Christian School (also known as WCS) is the largest independent Christian School located in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia.

History

Wycliffe Christian School started in 1977 as a small school of 25 students based in a church hall in Mount Riverview until it moved into the Warrimoo campus. It was originally called name John Wycliffe Christian School, named after John Wycliffe, the man who translated the bible from Latin to English in 1382. Since moving to the Warrimoo location, the school has had 5 major renovations, the last of which being the construction of a multimillion-dollar multi-purpose hall complex and 5th quadrangle in 2007.

Under the first principal, Robert Johnston, the school developed a sound reputation of Christian education and enrolments reached 700 students, but as of 2014 has dropped to 562. Geoff Bowser replaced Robert Johnston as principal in 2005, 27 years after the School was founded. In 2008 Wycliffe opened their 'transition' class which provides Christian pre-kindergarten daycare services.
