Wyszogóra [vɨʂɔˈɡura] (German: Piepenburg) is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Płoty, within Gryfice County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south of Płoty, 19 km (12 mi) south of Gryfice, and 57 km (35 mi) north-east of the regional capital Szczecin.

Before 1945 this area was a German village in Landkreis Regenwalde in Preußen with the name Piepenburg. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced by Poles.
