XHHIT airs a Regional Mexican music format branded as "La Caliente". It began as a Class A station serving Tecate. With new licensing, XHHIT moved 27 miles east at a higher wattage and HAAT. to be heard in Tecate, Tijuana, and San Diego.

History

XHATE-FM received its concession on November 7, 1988. It was owned by Enrique Regules Uriegas, who owned several stations for Multimedios. On May 18, 2004, XHATE became XHHIT-FM.
