Xiping County (simplified Chinese: 西平县; traditional Chinese: 西平縣; pinyin: XÄ«pÃng xià n) is a county of Henan province in the People's Republic of China. It is under the administration of Zhumadian city. Xiping covers an area of 1,098 square kilometres (424 sq mi) and has 840,000 inhabitants.
The place of the iron forge of Jiudian (simplified Chinese: 酒店冶é“é—å€; traditional Chinese: 酒店冶éµéºå€; pinyin: JiÇ”dià n yÄ›tiÄ› yÃzhÇ) from the Warring States period till the Jin Dynasty and the pagoda of the Baoyan temple (simplified Chinese: å®ä¸¥å¯ºå¡”; traditional Chinese: 寶嚴寺塔; pinyin: BÇŽoyán sì tÇŽ) from the Tang Dynasty are listed in the list of Monuments of the People's Republic of China.
