Yang Guoqiang

Yang Guoqiang (simplified Chinese: 杨国强; traditional Chinese: 楊國強; pinyin: Yáng Guóqiáng; Jyutping: Yeung Kwok Keung; born October 9, 1954 in Shunde, Guangdong), is a Chinese entrepreneur, the founder and chairman of Country Garden Group,[1] one of the largest real estate developers in Guangdong Province, Mainland China.

Since April 2007, his family (Most of the assets are nominally held by Yang's second daughter, Yang Huiyan) have been the wealthiest people in Mainland China, who own about the assets of 45.5 billion Chinese Yuan currently.

The Country Garden Group was listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on April 2007. Lee Shau Kee and Cheng Yu-Tung, from the same town as Yang (Shunde), bought 1 billion of Country Garden IPO stocks respectively. There was much investment interest from Hong Kong. Yang is the chairman of the company nominally. However, and his daughter's majority interest is held on behalf of the family. Yang is still active in company management and has not yet decided to retire.
