The yellow-bellied brush-furred rat (Lophuromys luteogaster) is a species of rodent in the family Muridae. It is endemic to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa.[1] It occurs in forested habitat and can also be found in cultivated areas. This is a rare species but it is not considered to be threatened.[1]
