YellowBox is an Intellectual Property newsletter, initiated by Surana and Surana International Attorneys, aimed at Intellectual Property related updates, news, stories and opinions. The name YellowBox is inspired by the airplane's Black box, which is generally colored yellow or orange and stores all the data conversed in the airplane. YellowBox contains contributions of people from various fields including law, academics, administration and industry.[1]

Activities

One of the major activities of YellowBox is to interview prominent people from diverse backgrounds such as law, academia, industry etc.

Interviews

Interview with Dr. Vinod Surana

In its first issue, YellowBox interviewed IP Expert Dr. Vinod Surana, CEO & Partner, Surana & Surana International Attorneys, who shared his experiences and thoughts about creating a good IP Management ecosystem and model.[2]

Interview with Mr. Meyer Sebastian

In the second issue, YellowBox interviewed Mr.Meyer Sebastian, Legal Director of Schwan-Stabilo, who shared his thoughts on innovation, IP protection and enforcement.[3]

Interview with Mr. Anupam Pahuja

Fourth issue of YellowBox contained an interview of Mr. Anupam Pahuja, GM & Head, PayPal India Development Centers, that focused mainly on work environment and fostering innovation through their incubation centre called "Start Tank".[4]

Cover Story

YellowBox also published a cover story in the third issue, titled Patently Drugged, which is an in-depth analysis on India's pharmaceutical patent regime and impact of Section 3(d) of Indian Patents Act. As an example, the cover story briefly describes the case of Novartis v. Union of India & Others.[5]

YellowBox comes out with an article in every issue, which focuses not only on IP law, but on various other platforms as well.
