Young Pioneers' Christmas is an American made-for-television movie, a Christmas special of the 1976 season.[1] It is loosely based on the novel Let the Hurricane Roar by Rose Wilder Lane. (Lane's 1933 novel had been reissued as Young Pioneers in 1976[2][3] and the latter title has remained in use.)
Young Pioneers' Christmas follows The Young Pioneers, a 1978 TV series,[4] and is followed by Young Pioneers, a March 1976 TV movie.[5]
Plot
"A young couple, Molly and David Beaton, and their neighbors celebrate Christmas in 1874 on the Dakota prairie. Despite tragedy and an ongoing battle with the Railway company, Christmas is a homespun and overly sentimental affair."[1]
