For the 2009-10 season, the 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam are participating in the German women's Bundesliga. It is their 17th season in Germany's major league in women's football. Turbine is the reigning German women's football champion and they will participate in the UEFA Women's Champions League for the first time in three year.
Squad
The club entered the Bundesliga season with a squad of 23 players. Seven players left the club while six new players were acquired. The most important transfer was the acquisition of the German international Fatmire Bajramaj from FCR 2001 Duisburg, who signed a two-year contract.[1][2]

Potsdam received a bye for the first round of the German cup. They entered the competition with a 7-0 home win against second division side Oldesloe and beat fellow second division side Holstein Kiel in the Round of 16 with the same result. Turbine gained a semi-final spot by beating their arch rivals 1. FFC Frankfurt with a 3-0 quarter final home win. However, the team was eliminated by a 1-0 away defeat against FCR 2001 Duisburg.
