1987 Gator Bowl
The 1987 Gator Bowl was a college football postseason bowl game between the LSU Tigers and the South Carolina Gamecocks.[1] LSU defeated South Carolina 30-13.[2]

LSU finished 2nd in the Southeastern Conference. South Carolina competed as an independent and was tied for 4th best record among independent schools.
