1990–91 Denver Nuggets season
The Nuggets hired a new General Manager. Bernie Bickerstaff took over the Nuggets and he decided it was time to rebuild the Nuggets. At the time, the club had the oldest team in the league. The Nuggets would make radical changes trading off stars for draft picks. They selected Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (known as Chris Jackson at the time) with their third pick in the 1990 NBA Draft. The Nuggets had a new Coach in Paul Westhead. The Nuggets had a league worst 20-62 record. By season's end, the Nuggets allowed 130.8 ppg setting a new record for NBA defensive generosity.[1] Point guard Michael Adams led them with 26.5 points per game.
