The 2013 Pokémon World Championships was the fifth annual e-Sport invitee tournament held by Play! Pokémon. The tourney was held with three different divisions: Junior, Senior, and Masters. The three divisions consisted of nine rounds each, with the first six rounds being a round robin style system. The last three rounds were a winner-takes-all championship bracket. The matches took place in Vancouver, Canada.[1]
Trivia
- 2013 was the first year since 2009 that Ray Rizzo did not win.
- Despite Ray not winning, the US continued to take both the Junior and Senior division championship.
