- 1 2 The candidate elected for Calgary-Foothills in the general election, Jim Prentice, resigned on election day before winning his riding. According to section 139 of the Alberta Elections Act, RSA 2000, c E-1, if a winning candidate disclaims their right to become an MLA before the end of the appeal period for the official results, that riding's election is declared void. Panda won the subsequent by-election held September 3, 2015.
