46th Filmfare Awards

The 46th Filmfare Awards were held on February 17, 2001. The blockbuster Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai dominated the awards, as expected. The film's star, Hrithik Roshan, won the Best Actor award for his debut role and was catapulted to stardom by the huge success of the film. Other favorites and contenders for the awards were the two Shahrukh Khan starrers, Aditya Chopra's Mohabbatein and Mansoor Khan's Josh. Other films in contention were Fiza, Mission Kashmir and Dhadkan.
