The 61st Filmfare Awards were held to honor the best films of 2015 from the Hindi-language film industry on the 15th of January, 2016 at the prince ahuja Studio in Mumbai. The ceremony was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and comedian Kapil Sharma.[1]

Bajirao Mastani won the most awards with nine including Best Film. Other winners included Piku with five awards, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Roy, Talvar, and Tanu Weds Manu Returns with two, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Bombay Velvet, Dil Dhadakne Do, Hero, Masaan, Tamasha with one.
