The Western Saharan spiny mouse (Acomys airensis) is a species of rodent in the family Muridae[2] found in Mali, Mauritania, Niger, and possibly in Western Sahara, western Chad, and southern Algeria. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, rocky areas, arable land, rural gardens, and urban areas.
