Adrian Gerald Amos, Jr. (born April 29, 1993) is an American football safety for the Chicago Bears in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Penn State.
Early years
Amos attended Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, Maryland. He was rated by Rivals.com as a three-star recruit.[2] He originally committed to play college football at the University of Connecticut.[3]
College career
Amos played at Penn State from 2011 to 2014. As a true freshman he played in all 13 games as a cornerback and on special teams. He recorded seven tackles and an interception. As a sophomore in 2012, Amos became started all 12 games and recorded 44 tackles and two interceptions. As a junior in 2013, Amos again started all 12 games, splitting time between cornerback and safety. He finished the year with 50 tackles, one interception and 2.5 sacks. As a senior he again started all 13 games, recording 42 tackles and three interceptions.[4][5][6]

2015 season
Amos was drafted in the fifth round (142nd overall) by the Chicago Bears in the 2015 NFL Draft.[7] Amos started all 16 games in his rookie season, recording 67 tackles, 1 sack, and 2 passes defensed.[8] On November 22, 2015, Amos recorded his first career sack in a 17–15 loss to the Denver Broncos.[9]
