Agliana is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pistoia in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Florence and about 7 kilometres (4 mi) southeast of Pistoia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 15,405 and an area of 11.6 square kilometres (4.5 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Agliana contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) S. Piero, S. Niccolò, S. Michele, Spedalino, Ferruccia, Catena, Ponte dei Bini, and Ponte alla Trave.
Agliana borders the following municipalities: Montale, Montemurlo, Pistoia, Prato, Quarrata.
