Alo (English: Light) is a 2003 Bengali film directed by Tarun Majumder and starring Rituparna Sengupta. The story is based on a short story by Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay. It was shown in Bengal cinemas for eight months and broke several box office records.[1]
The film was nominated for a National Award in the category "best film providing popular and wholesome entertainment".[2]
