Alyona Osmanova (Russian: Алёна Османова; Ukrainian: Альона Османова; born March 31, 1988) is a Ukrainian model.
Career
Beginning
Osmanova first appeared in the V magazine in 2006 and by September of the same year did her debut in various spring shows which were hosted by such fashion designers as Marc Jacobs, Peter Som, and Vera Wang in New York. The same month and year she did Prada show in Milan and in October participated at the Miu Miu show in Paris. From December 2006 to January 2007 she appeared in such Vogue magazines as Teen Vogue and Vogue Girl of Korea and the same month was seen at the Chanel and Givenchy shows in Paris, France. In February Osmanova was photographed by Xevi Muntane for the Dazed & Confused issue and the same year participated in the Costello Tagliapietra and Jonathan Saunders in both New York and London.[2]
2007
During the same month and year she was a participant of the John Galliano show and posed for Max Mara for fall in Paris and Milan respectively. In March 2007 Benjamin Alexander Huseby photographed her for the Russian language Vogue and the same month appeared in V where she was kissing Rachel Alexander the photographer of which scene at the time was Terry Tsiolis. In July 2007 Alyona was pictured in Harper’s Bazaar by Sølve Sundsbø and August of the same year appeared in Vogue again in new Prada collection. The same year she was photographed by Juergen Teller for Marc Jacobs's magazine and in September was featured on Oprah cover in Vera Wang's gown and participated at the Behnaz Sarafpour show as well. In September 2007 she did another show, this time it was Yigal Azrouel in New York. In October, she again appeared in Dazed & Confused and the same month was featured at the New York Times's T Style magazine.[2]
2008 and 2009
In 2008 she replaced Inguna Butane as Bottega Veneta face of spring and then appeared in Donna Karan presentation for fall in New York. She walked on Alexander McQueen's catwalk in the Autumn/Winter 2008 as the show was called: The Girl Who Lived In The Tree. She wore look number 43. In 2008 Mark Pillai photographs her for 10 magazine and in January 2009 Osmanova was back again in Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue, for the German language one. During the same month she did Christian Lacroix's show and then appeared for the Lacoste clothing where Alyona was photographed by Terry Richardson next to Hyoni Kang and Tanya Dziahileva. In February 2009 she appeared on walkways of Proenza Schouler, Viktor & Rolf and other shows, and in March she was pictured in Numéro magazine by Phil Poynter. In July of the same year she was photographed by Jean Francois Campos for the Italian language of Flair magazine and in September of the same year appeared on Tibi show. Later on, Osmanova was photographed by Nathaniel Goldberg and was featured in Donna Karan International's ad and then she posed for David Slijper's Tush.[2]
2010-present
After four years being Supreme Management model she signed a contract with Ford Models where she appeared in various Carolina Herrera and Jason Wu presentations. In February of the same year she skipped on Fashion Week and next month appeared in Italian language of Dazed & Confused, Elle, and Vogue. Later on, she moved to Ford Plus for plus-size models after serving couple of months for Ford Models. Alyona lost weight and transitioned back to editorial modeling, signing with Women Management. In February 2013, she walked in the Giorgio Armani show. She also works and is friends with such models as Anabela Belikova, Irina Kulikova, Alana Zimmer, Suvi Koponen, Evelina Mambetova, and Vika Kuropyatnikova.[2]
